Here’s a calming herbal blend using lemon balm and chamomile - two gentle but effective nervines - to help relieve anxiety, soothe nervous tension, and promote a sense of relaxation.
🌼 Calm & Clear Herbal Tea
Lemon Balm + Chamomile Nervine Blend
Serves 1 | Best enjoyed in the evening or during times of heightened stress
🌿 Ingredients:
1 tsp dried lemon balm (Melissa officinalis)
1 tsp dried chamomile flowers (Matricaria recutita)
1/2 tsp dried lavender (optional, for enhanced calming and aroma)
8 oz just-boiled water
Raw honey or stevia to taste (optional)
🍵 Instructions:
Add lemon balm, chamomile, and optional lavender to a tea infuser, muslin bag, or directly into your mug or teapot.
Pour 8 oz of hot (not boiling) water over the herbs.
Cover and steep for 8–10 minutes to extract the full nervine properties.
Strain (if loose), sweeten if desired, and sip slowly in a quiet space.
🕯️ Ritual Suggestions:
Pair with slow breathing or journaling for deeper relaxation.
Ideal as a bedtime tea or for afternoon wind-down.
🌿 Alternate Tincture Option (if using extracts)
💧 Ingredients:
Lemon balm tincture - 2–3 dropperfuls (60–90 drops)
Chamomile tincture - 1–2 dropperfuls (30–60 drops)
Add to 1–2 oz of water or herbal tea
💡 Directions:
Take up to 3 times daily during periods of stress.
Best taken between meals or before bedtime.
